Other substituted, monocyclic, aromatic hydrocarbons are named as derivatives of the above. For disubstituted, aromatic rings the terms o– (ortho) (1, 2 positions), m– (meta) (1, 3 positions), or p– (para) (1, 4 positions) are used. For more than two substitutions numbers are used.
